Screen Planting Designs
 
Perhaps one of the first things to consider when planning a landscape are the screen plantings. Screen plantings are useful in many ways. Aside from creating a visual barrier and privacy, they also serve as noise and wind buffers. They can also be useful to seperate different sections of the landscape, such as the vegetable garden from the pool area, or the pet area from the rest of the landscape. Below is a sample screen planting incorporating several varieties of plants that provide a quick and natural buffer. Below the design are photos and descriptions of the plants used.

Tall Growing Screen (20'+ height)

NOTE: The design above is only a sample for a tall screen planting (20'+ height). Use it as a guideline to fit your own situation. The plants used, however, are ones that we feel are the hardiest, fastest growing and best all around evergreen trees for use in our area. (Zone 8)
